DEPOSITS
Deposits should be paid 2 weeks before the arrival date stated on your holiday booking confirmation. Card fees of up to 4% may be charged if you pay your deposit before this date.
To avoid any confusion, Hestia Holidays are collecting from you, the holiday maker, a deposit for the property you are renting. This 'deposit' is a damage / security / loss / breakage deposit. This deposit covers any missing items, damages or breakages that may be caused to the property, or it's contents, during your stay, whether caused by you, a member in your group, or any third party invited to the property.
The deposit also covers excessive use of electricity / air conditioning and excessive cleaning of the property on departure, if required.
You will be liable for the cost of repair, replacement or reinstatement of any damage, loss or breakage that occurs during your stay. The amount will be deducted from this deposit and 4% of the cost will be charged as card fees.
The deposit will be repaid / returned to you within 10 days of your stay, providing there have been no reported breakages or damage. We reserve the right to retain the security deposit (either in part or full) to cover any damage. Receipts for repairs / replacements will be provided in the unlikely event that such retention of the security deposit is required. We reserve the right to pursue a guest for recompense for any and all damages caused which may exceed the value of the security deposit and we will require payment within 14 days of being served notice of this.
Within 24 hours of arriving at your holiday accommodation, you should make Hestia Holidays / the property owner / the management company, or any representative aware of any breakages, damages or missing items, otherwise it will be presumed that the damage/breakage/loss was caused by yourselves and a charge will be made.
The Directions to your Holiday Accommodation and Keysafe Code will only be issued after receipt of the deposit.
The correct amount to pay will have been stated on your booking confirmation.
